Superior Energy Resources, LLC (SER) is an authorized distributor of The Big Switch® biobased erosion/filtration medium by BEG Group, LLC. This product, made from switchgrass, is highly regarded for its effectiveness in environmentally sensitive projects managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (Pa DEP) and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT). It has also been approved for use in West Virginia and Ohio.
What is a Biobased Product?
The F
arm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002, as defined by the United States Secretary of Agriculture, states that a biobased product is "a commercial or industrial product (other than food or feed) that is, wholly or significantly, made from biological products or renewable domestic agricultural materials, including plant, animal, and marine materials or forestry products."
